I started singing at a very early age and learnt to play the bass guitar
while still at school before making the transition to six strings. I am
completely self taught on the guitar and keyboards and don't read music.
Influences
Pink Floyd [Roger Waters]. Great lyrics.
Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel. Love the song writing and harmonies.
The Eagles. Songs and harmonies again.
Others to note are the Beach Boys, Queen, Everly Brothers and Stevie Wonder.
I like many styles and tastes of music, from classical to rock. I guess
the thing for me is content, good lyrics, harmonies, dynamics ect. If
music and songs are played and written well, with honesty and true sentiment
then whatever the style I would enjoy it. I certainly wouldn't disregard
an artist because I hadn't liked material they had written in the past.
On the same note if my favourites released something I didn't like I wouldn't
listen to it over and over again until I did. I guess from this I'm an
impulsive listener. If I hear something I like, then that's good enough
for me, whatever key it's in.
Favourite food and drink
Curry, not too hot but not mild. What's the point in a mild curry?
Shepherds Pie, Pasta, Marmite, Cheese and Crackers.
I'm teetotal so I mostly drink water, no ice.
Favourite Film
Field of Dreams gets me every time when they pick up the young Archibald
"Moonlight" Graham on return from their road trip.

Background
Left school in 1988 after a year I joined the Army and was sent to Germany.
Served in the RCT with 38 squadron. Went with them in 1990 to the first
Gulf conflict. On leaving in 1992 I joined up with local Torbay band Dr
Frank, playing classic rock covers including Pink Floyd and original songs.
That all ended around 1996 and we moved on to other projects. I joined
some friends and helped form the band "Woodhuish". Playing mostly old
school funk soul and original songs. That lasted up until about 97 and
then I got together with Steve, Patch and Jeff playing covers of all descriptions
from James Brown to Jimi Hendrix. We also wrote and played our original
material. In The Flesh... The story continues.
Hobbies
I'm a first Dan Black Belt. I like to play golf. I like to surf.
