Steve Loar

Steve Loar -  Lead Guitar/Lap Steel/B.Vocals.

 Eyes : Blue
Hair : Brown
D.O.B : I've been mad for years, completely over the edge.
Height : 6'

Got my first guitar at the age of fifteen and have been hooked ever since. There is nothing to match the sound of an electric guitar and after all these years it has never lost it's fascination for me. While learning to play I spent countless hours squirreled away listening to and learning anything that sounded good as well as learning every Beatles and Stones track I could.

Influences

Eric Clapton, Dave Gilmour, John Lennon, Paul Kossoff, Ernie Isley, Jim Morrison
I like all sorts of music with good melody.
If a vocal performance could be turned into a guitar solo this would be the greatest guitar solo...
Tom Jones "I'll Never Fall in Love Again". - it' s all there...control, complete mastery of range, emotion...
absolutely outstanding.

Favourite food and drink
Chile. Cheese/Cauliflower. Ham/Egg/chips.
Soft drink...Tea/Fanta. Beer...Carling unleaded.

Favourite Film
Too many to mention as I am an avid collector of movies. I will generally watch anything barring chick flicks. Especially like the films of Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks, Gene Hackman, Al Pacino,
Denzel Washington, Robert DeNiro, Christopher Walken, Christian Bale, Val Kilmer....the list is endless.

First Single bought
Pink Floyd "See Emily Play".

Background
Got a beat up old acoustic and a set of strings on my fifteenth birthday along with a book called 501 chords (anyone remember it...more like a pamphlet with a blue cover). Three months later I had learnt twelve Beatles songs, got hold of a Vox AC10, borrowed an electric guitar and joined my first Band....and that was it...the road to ruin. Got my first decent electric a few years later.... Antoria Les Paul copy and then made the transition onto Strats as soon as I had enough money to buy one. I love music and the fascination of getting individuals together to make a collective sound has never lost it's awe for me. I am self taught back from the days when you had to put your thumb on the record to slow it down so you could hear the notes in a guitar solo.

Films.
